Professor Enrico Drioli passes on October 31
With deep sorrow, we share the painful news of the passing of Prof. Enrico Drioli, esteemed co-founder and Honorary President of the European Membrane Society. His visionary work and passion shaped the field of membrane science, leaving a legacy that will inspire generations. Prof. Drioli was a true Ambassador for Membranes, dedicating immense time and effort to promote and introduce their applications in industry, government, and to the public. He was one of the initiators of the ICOM conference series and many other events aimed at uniting the global membrane community.
Prof Enrico Drioli has served on the WA-MS Steering Committee as one of the EMS Delegates since WA-MS was founded in 2017, consisting of two complete terms to the present third term. Prof Enrico Drioli will be remembered by his passion for a global membrane connection made by WA-MS. Being a part of the Education Working Group, he was working on improving access of membrane education globally.
He will be deeply missed.
